RTÜK imposed administrative fines on four television channels and one digital platform for violating broadcasting principles. In the program “4 Questions 4 Answers” aired on TELE1, Merdan Yanardağ’s statements regarding July 15 were cited as grounds for imposing the maximum fine for statements incompatible with public responsibility. NR1 Türk channel was fined for content that exceeded commercial communication limits in the “Talents” segment. The Board stated that the fines were imposed due to divisive, demeaning, and procedurally improper broadcasts.
