The Radio and Television Supreme Council imposed administrative fines on Kanal D, NOW TV, and STAR TV on January 12 on the grounds of “violating public morality and family structure.” RTÜK ruled that the programs “Güller ve Günahlar” (Roses and Sins) aired on Kanal D, “Kıskanmak” (Jealousy) aired on NOW TV, and “Nur Viral ile Sen İstersen” (Nur Viral with You If You Want) aired on STAR TV violated Law No. 6112. The Board assessed that the aforementioned productions normalized distorted relationships and undermined the institution of the family.
