Workers at Doruk Mining, part of Yıldızlar SSS Holding, set out for Ankara again on June 1 after the company failed to honor its previous payment commitments. Worker Kamil Tanrısever stated that they had booked buses three times, but the buses were canceled, the drivers were threatened, and attempts were made to prevent their journey. The Independent Mining Workers’ Union also announced that it would continue the struggle until the workers’ rights are secured.
