Izmir Regional 8th Criminal Chamber (Appeal) sentenced six Youth Organisation member students with “not entering in locations serving and selling alcohol for five months” after hanging a poster outside Izmir Konak Credit Dormitories Institution building that said, “We live together with boys and girls! We don’t drink Ayran, we are always together.” The action of the students was made against the statement of Erdoğan, who was the Prime Minister then. “We will not allow mixed-gender dormitories,” Erdoğan had stated.
