The protest ban implemented in Van since 2016 is maintained by the Governorate. Van Governorate issued another protest and demonstration ban on the pretext of “providing national security” and imposed a civil administration permission requirement for demonstration marches, open-air meetings, and all kinds of protest and events for 15 days, starting from March 15.
