The protest and demonstration ban that is ongoing in Van for more than four years was extended by the Governorate once again for another 15 days. The Governorate based the protest ban, that started on November 21, 2016 to “security” reasons and now the reasons for extension include “the protection of national security,” “protection of public order and general health” and to “control the infection rate of the COVID-19 outbreak.”
