Pir Sultan Abdal Cultural Association organized a press statement in front of GNAT to protest the police raid at Armutlu Cemevi as well as association’s Sarıyer Chairwoman Zeynep Yıldırım being taken into custody. There was turmoil between the police, who did not permit the press statement, and the group consisting of the association members, People’s Democratic Party (HDP) and Republican People’s Party (CHP) MPs. Visuals recorded during the turmoil depicted the police shouting at the MPs, saying, “You will know your place.”
