Two siblings were beaten by the police in a neighborhood in Fatih, Istanbul. The children were taken to Haseki Hospital. At the hospital, their mother and uncle were beaten by the police as well. Afterwards, uncle Mehmet Yaman was paralysed and hospitalised. Security footage from inside the hospital disappeared after the incident… The footage weren’t handed to the family lawyer due to being “out of order.” Lawyers Naif Şaşma, Cafer Çakmakcı and Metin Akçılgın made criminal complaints against the police officers. In the statement they made, the lawyers stated, “We invite the Prosecution units to work on revealing the guilty police officers.”
