Mesopotamia Agency reporter Dindar Karataş was detained in İpekyolu district of Van with a house raid. Searching his house, the police confiscated Karataş’s phone and a memory card on his camera. The reason for Karataş’s detainment was not found out and he was taken to Van Provincial Security Directorate. In the meantime, Mesopotamia Agency’s Van Office was raided by the police as well. The search, made with a decree issued by Erzurum Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, was based on the office being the workplace of agency reporter Karataş.
