The police established a barricade in front of the women, who set up a sign at Hürriyet Boulevard, where the People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Provincial building was located, and wanted to make a statement in front of the sign for the killing of Deniz Poyraz during the armed attack against the People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Izmir Provincial organisation. The police used tear gas against the women, who were performing a sit-in protest.
