The police intervened against the house of condolences for Servet Turgut, who was hospitalised heavily wounded and then lost his life after having been detained by the soldiers on military operation in Çatak district of Van on September 11. People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Parliament member Hüda Kaya and other visitors were prevented from making statements and press members were kept away from the condolence house.
