The police intervened the forum organized by the Workers’ Party of Turkey (TİP) LGBTI Commission in Kadıköy Yoğurtçu Park. At least 42 people, including journalist İrfan Değirmenci, TİP Party Assembly member Ilgaz Özer, TİP Istanbul Provincial Executive Ali Çoban and recently released Bekir Aslan, were detained during the intervention. Police blockaded the forum area and intervened harshly against the participants.
