Turkish Human Rights and Equality Institute sentenced Destek Publishing House to 3000 TL administrative fine due to violation of the discrimination ban after the Publishing House’s online job advertisement that stated application of women with scarves will not be evaluated. The website publishing the advertisement was also sentenced to 1000 TL administrative fine. The job advertisement caused reactions and the Publishing House made an apology statement. Indicating that the incident was a sabotage, the Publishing House stated that “discrimination is unacceptable.”
