The proceeding of judge Tuncay Elarslan, who was banned from profession following the July 15 Coup Attempt, started at Gaziantep 9th Assize Court. The indictment prepared against Elarslan, who is on trial due to ‘armed terrorist organization membership’ shows his membership to Judges and Prosecutors Association (YARSAV – which was shut down with an emergency decree) and his participation to the Gezi Park protests while on duty in Sinop, as evidence. Scheduling the next hearing to November 30th, the court removed the judicial monitoring and travel ban against Elarslan.
