The trial, which has been ongoing for 10 years in solidarity with the closed Özgür Gündem newspaper, was held on December 25 at the Istanbul 13th Heavy Penal Court. The hearing, in which Turkish Medical Association Central Council President Şebnem Korur Fincancı, RSF Turkey Representative Erol Önderoğlu, and writer Ahmet Nesin were retried, lasted approximately 5 minutes. The court decided to postpone the hearing until March 31, 2026, pending a response to a request sent abroad.
