An operation was organized against the Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) in Izmir, Istanbul and Gümüşhane as part of an investigation by Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. According to the Law Office of the Oppressed, 12 people were detained. Among those detained are Birkan Polat, Hıdır Ali Kılıç, Tuncay Yıldırım Özen, Asiye Kafadar, Hakan Kafadar, Aziz Benli, Hüseyin Satılmış, Hayal Taşdan, Enes Güleli, Rıdvan Coşkun, Dilarin Soylu and Mehmet Göçer.
