Trustees were assigned to People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Municipalities of Muradiye, Başkale and Özalp districts in Van as well as İkiköprü town municipality of Batman. Thus, the number of HDP municipalities under trustee administration reached 28 since the elections on March 31st; with all elected mayors in Van having been dismissed. “Elections are over in Turkey now, there is no point to them,” HDP Van MP Murat Sarısaç stated.
