The lawsuit of compensation opened by the family of 12-year-old Helin Hasret Şen at the Ministry of the Interior was concluded. Şen had lost her life due to the fire opened by the police during the operation in Diyarbakır. Diyarbakır 3rd Administrative Court decided that there is “fault in service” in the shooting of Şen and issued 314 thousand TL moral and material compensation to be paid to Şen’s family, including the legal interest rate. However, the criminal investigation opened against the police officers on the incident was not turned into a lawsuit for the last 3.5 years. There is a confidentiality order on the file.
