On April 10, 2026, nine people, including Deputy Mayor Filiz Deveci, were arrested as part of a bribery and corruption investigation being conducted by the Üsküdar Municipality in Istanbul. While some suspects were released on judicial supervision, the number of those in custody rose to 22.
