The police intervened against the residents of Lice Yenişehir District, who were protesting against electricity distribution company DEDAŞ’s attempt to move the current meters to the electricity poles. Lice Police detained many protesting citizens by raiding their homes at night. Eight people were previously detained during the quarrel that occurred in the neighborhood on September 11th.
