A new access block was imposed on Halk TV’s YouTube channel with 2.6 million subscribers, this time through the channel’s identity-based internet address after an access block had been imposed through its username on 14 October. The channel changed its username from @Halktvkanali to @Halktv-eu. However, the new decision also covered the channel’s identity independent of its username. YouTube had not yet made the channel unavailable in Türkiye despite the access block. Following access blocks imposed on Halk TV’s social media accounts under Article 8/A of Law No. 5651, X made the channel’s account with three million followers unavailable in Türkiye, while TikTok made its account with 256,000 followers unavailable.
