Milat Daily targeted one of the greatest oil companies in the world, Shell, who stated, “We fight to be the pioneer of LGBT including at work.”
In the announcement made by the company on its website, Shell indicated that they do not tolerate discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation and that they are proud of their LGBT workers. The announcement was published on the Turkish website of the company as well. Following the announcement, Milat Daily writer Fırat İpek targeted the company by saying, “Shell has been benefiting from the land, water, citizen and all other opportunities in Turkey and has now published an announcement that tramples on the values of the Turkish society.”
