Diyarbakır 9th Assize Court issued the release of People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari MP and Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-Chair Leyla Güven, who is on a hunger strike for 79 days. Güven was previously released; whereas her arrest continued after the Prosecutor’s objection was accepted.
Güven has been detained on January 22, 2018 with a house raid and was later arrested on January 31, 2018 due to her statements on the Afrin Operation as well as press statements and events she participated in.
