In an open letter, manager Ayşe Barım, who is accused of planning the Gezi Park protests and is currently in prison, emphasized that her imprisonment poses a risk of death despite her health problems. “Who is responsible if I lose my life in prison when I can be tried without arrest?” Barım asked, adding that she is at risk of sudden death due to six different heart diseases, stented aneurysms in her brain and a newly formed aneurysm. He said he had lost 30 kilograms in prison, suffered from muscle breakdown and panic attacks, and had fainted six times in the last three months. Barım demanded the right to be treated by doctors of his choice.
