48 lawyers and seven interns were detained within the Ankara-based “FETÖ/PDY” investigation. The lawyers are charged with getting involved in the investigation and prosecution process of their clients, who were detained with similar charges after July 15, through “order”. Bar Associations express that the operation, which was organized immediately after Erdoğan’s statement “targeting lawyers” are targeting the “right to defense” and the “reasons of existence of legal practice.”
