Different decrees were issued in two lawsuits filed against lawyer Ebru Timtik after criticising a file she was defending a client in. In the lawsuit of compensation filed, the court claimed that the expressions of Timtik were an attack against the Prosecutor’s personal rights and sentenced Timtik to pay six thousand Turkish Liras of compensation. In the criminal lawsuit filed upon the complaint of the Prosecutor, on the other hand, the court issued a verdict of acquittal, stating that the expressions are of the quality of criticism.
