In 2021, the trial of Workers’ Party of Turkey (TİP) provincial chair Hakan Çayan and 6 party members, who were charged with “insulting the president” due to a press statement and slogans about the economic crisis and price hikes in Adana, started at Adana 35th Criminal Court of First Instance. The second hearing of the trial will be held on 16 November.
