Lawsuit against trustee protest

A lawsuit was filed against 30 people, who participated in the protest organized in Ankara on September 4, 2019 against the trustees assigned to replace elected People’s Democratic Party (HDP) mayors. The defendants were charged with “violating the Law on Meeting and Demonstration.” The first hearing of the lawsuit will be held on April 15 at Ankara 10th Criminal Court of First Instance.
