Silvan District Governorate gave permission for an investigation to be opened against police officer Mustafa U., who threatened DIHA reporter Serhat Yüce by pointing a gun against his head as he was collecting news information on October 4, 2015 in Silvan, Diyarbakır as the curfew was ongoing. The investigation, that was ongoing for four years, could finally turn into a lawsuit and the defendant police officer will be prosecuted at Silvan Criminal Court of First Instance with a claim of imprisonment for up to five years due to “threatening with a gun.”
