The indictment prepared against previously shut-down Karşı Daily’s owner and 10 employees within the ‘FETÖ investigation’ was accepted by Istanbul 23rd Assize Court.
The indictment issues arrest warrants against Alaaddin Akkaşoğlu, Değer Özergün, Mehmet Aydoğmuş, Onur Kala and Murat Kazancı. The court decided for the case file to be merged with the file at Istanbul 35th Assize Court, where former Republican People’s Party (CHP) MP Eren Erdem is arrested pending trial. The defendants are charged with ‘armed terrorist organization membership,’ ‘aiding an armed terrorist organization without being members’ and ‘revealing identities of public officers involved in the fight against terrorism.’
