Journalist Özgür Boğatekin testified at Gerger Criminal Court of First Instance within the lawsuit filed against him due to the news published in Gerger Fırat Daily on the sexual abuse incident at a religious vocational high school in Adıyaman. The journalist is accused of “insulting” the Confederation of Educational Workers’ Union Adıyaman Chairman with the news. “The judiciary is taking revenge due to us reporting the seual abuse at a religious vocational high school,” the journalist stated. The next hearing of the lawsuit was scheduled for April 20 at Adıyaman 3rd Criminal Court of First Instance.
