A lawsuit was filed against journalist Onur Öncü due to his broadcast on Özgürüz Youtube Channel dated May 3, 2021. The journalist was charged with insulting Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu and is prosecuted with simple procedure at Küçükçekmece 22nd Criminal Court of First Instance.
The journalist will defend himself in the trial, however, the expression used in the title of the video does not belong to Öncü, but to his guest. Öncü and his lawyers will present their written defense statements to Küçükçekmece 22nd Criminal Court of First Instance within the next 15 days.
