A lawsuit was filed against the former administration of Diyarbakır Bar Association at Batman Assize Court with permission from the Ministry of Justice due to their declaration on the 1915 incidents made on April 24, 2018.
Former Bar Association Chairman Ahmet Özmen and 10 executives will stand trial due to “public incitement towards resentment and hostility” (Turkish Criminal Code Article 216) and “insulting the GNAT” (Turkish Criminal Code Article 301).
