The first hearing of the lawsuit filed against 97 students, who were detained during the protest demonstrations held on February 1 against the trustees appointed to Boğaziçi University, was held at the Istanbul 32nd Criminal Court of First Instance. The students are charged with “violating the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations” and the next hearing was scheduled for January 10.
