The 108-defendant “Kobani incidents” indictment prepared by Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office was accepted at Ankara 22nd Assize Court. 108 people will be tried due to “homicide” and “disrupting the unity and the territorial integrity of the state,” as well as other crimes.
27 politicians are arrested within the investigation, in which former People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chairs Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ are arrested since September 20, 2019 and which was extended on September 25, 2020.
