The second hearings of the lawsuits filed separately against Safiye Alağaş and Sertaç Kayar were held at Diyarbakır 4th Assize Court with the charge of “illegal organization propaganda.”
Alağaş was on trial due to the news published by JinNews News Agency following the complaint of the Information Technologies Authority (BTK). The new indictment prepared by Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office with the same charge on January 16 was decided to be merged with the existing file. The next hearing was scheduled to May 23rd. The court issued the acquittal of Kayar, who was charged due to his social media posts.
