Journalists Idris Yılmaz and Erhan Akbaş, who revealed incidents of sexual abuse in different schools in Erciş district of Van, were acquitted in the case they were on trial at Erciş 1st Criminal Court of First Instance with the allegation of “false news and slander.” Erciş District Director of National Education Erol Şimşek had made a criminal complaint against the two journalists due to the news they reported.
