The second hearing of the case in which Mezopotamya News Agency reporter Seda Taşkın is on trial after being arrested in Ankara on January 22nd. Taşkın has been taken into custody in Muş on 20 December 2017 due to a “serious denouncement against her” and was later released with judicial control; whereas arrested once again on January 22nd following the objection of the Prosecutor’s Office.
Muş 2nd Assize Court decided for the journalist to remain arrested due to the allegations of ‘illegal organization membership’ and ‘making illegal organization propaganda’; scheduling the next hearing to September 12th.
