Nefes News Coordinator Fatih Ergin was arrested on a charge of “publicly disseminating misleading information” over a social media post he made about the reopened investigation into the death of Kaşif Kozinoğlu. In a post announcing the death of doctor Turgay Tamer, who had previously been detained as part of the investigation, Ergin described Tamer as a “former forensic medicine employee” and later corrected the wording. The Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office said Tamer had been working as a doctor at the Silivri Prison campus at the time. The wording used by Ergin was assessed within the scope of the accusation cited as the basis for his arrest.
