Journalist Ahmet Güneş, who was on trial at Istanbul 25th Assize Court on charges of “making propaganda for a terrorist organization” based on his social media posts, was acquitted. The court stated in its verdict that “the actions subject to the accusation” are not defined as “crime” in the law.
