It has been alleged that Oktay Kelebek, a prisoner on hunger strike at Marmara No. 6 L-Type Prison, has not been given sugar or herbal tea as of April 10, 2026. Kelebek’s fiancée stated that on the 33rd day of the hunger strike launched in protest against the prison’s video surveillance system, his health had deteriorated and he had experienced significant weight loss. It was noted that the practice continues despite rulings by the Constitutional Court.
