Under the coordination of the Kırşehir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, teams from the Provincial Security Directorate’s Counterterrorism Branch conducted an operation against ISIS on January 7. Four individuals named S.E., S.Ü., K.Q.M.G., and M.A.Y.K. were detained in simultaneous raids. Digital materials, organizational documents, and banned publications were seized at the suspects’ addresses. Of the suspects referred to the courthouse, S.E., K.Q.M.G., and M.A.Y.K. were arrested on charges of “membership in an armed terrorist organization,” while S.Ü. was released under judicial control. In Kastamonu, police teams detained one person believed to be linked to ISIS during an operation.
