The Bursa Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services has launched an investigation into four KESK members who participated in a work stoppage. The investigation was initiated following KESK’s decision to hold a two-day work stoppage to protest school raids in Siverek, Şanlıurfa, and Maraş. In a letter sent to the workers, the Directorate stated that they had failed to report to work on April 16–17 “without permission or valid reason.” Hasan Toprak, who works at the same institution, had previously been suspended from duty after being targeted by Yeni Akit.
