The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation into writer Mine Kırıkkanat on April 29. The prosecutor’s office charged her with “inciting the public to hatred and hostility” over a social media post. Kırıkkanat had previously issued an apology for her remarks.
