An investigation was opened against theologist-writer and TELE1 producer Cemil Kılıç, who said that wearing a headscarf is not a divine order. In a statement he made on his Twitter account, Kılıç said, “I really don’t understand! I express my opinion, saying that wearing a headscarf is an Islamic tradition but not a divine order. The prosecutor opens an investigation against me. Am I not aware that we are now ruled with an ecclesiastics law?”
