Akdeniz University Rectorate launched a disciplinary investigation against students who wanted to create a forum to draw attention to the economic crisis. The students were accused by the Rectorate of “performing an unauthorized sit-in protest”(!). Previously, the students had gathered to organize a forum in the Akdeniz University campus on December 16, but were prevented from doing so by the private security and the police. Afterwards, the students held a sit-in protest against this arbitrary attitude.
