Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office started an investigation after a denouncement made regarding a social media post by actor Nejat İşler following the July 15 Coup Attempt. The investigation notice was sent to Bodrum Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, where the actor resides.
In the related social media post on July 16, 2016, İşler had written, “An order comes, you go to Boğaziçi Bridge. They cut your head off and call you a traitor. An order comes, you go to the East. You die, they call you a martyr.”
