81 people were summoned to testify at the Prosecutor’s Office due to the protest organized against the decision of “reconstruction” in the Gözeler region of Ziyaret village in Ovacık district of Dersim. Those summoned to testify include Dersim Mayor F. Mehmet Maçoğlu and Dersom Bar Association Chairman Kenan Çetin. The investigation against the protest, which was organized in the open air and in accordance with rules of physical distance, was based on previously issued Governorate bans due to the pandemic. Munzur Baba Springs are considered sacred for the Alevis of Kızılbaş society in the region.
