The Interior Ministry started an investigation against Bilecik Mayor Semih Şahin due to the posters prepared by the municipality on the Istanbul Convention. According to the ministry, the posters with the writings, “From whom does the Istanbul Convention protect? From everyone who has violent tendencies” do “insult all parts of the society and put teachers and the olice in a difficult situation.”
