An investigation has been launched against journalist Barış Pehlivan, who covered the allegations of sect organization within the Turkish Armed Forces in his article published in Cumhuriyet newspaper. The journalist is charged with “insult” within the scope of the investigation opened upon a complaint by the Gendarmerie General Command.
